Hi friends! Anyone who knows me can tell you that I completely worship my mother! She is such an amazing woman and since having my babies it has made me love and appreciate her even more. I just don’t think I realized how much she loves me, or how much she sacrificed for me until I become a mom myself. So when she told me that she wanted to go out to dinner, just the two of us, I immediately said yes. Alone time with my mom doesn’t come along often. We decided on Seasons 52. It’s a chain restaurant that’s found throughout the United States. They change their menu seasonally, use fresh ingredients and even have the number of calories posted next to each of their dishes. They are also very accommodating when it comes to allergens! They have a gluten sensitive menu, dairy/lactose sensitive menu, vegan and vegetarian menu! Pretty impressive!
The restaurant itself has a sophisticated, somewhat trendy feel. They’re open for lunch and dinner and they also have a delicious looking happy hour menu. Since I live in Florida, the land of the never-ending summer and tourists, you’ll find people in the restaurant wearing everything from flip-flops and t-shirts to dresses with heals. I’m a chronic over dresser and I find it to be a nicer restaurant, so I was in a dress with my big pearl necklace and pretty sandals.
We were seated in a booth away from the hustle and bustle which was perfect, especially since it can get a little loud in the restaurant. After glancing at the menus, and doing some cross referencing I started quizzing the waiter, who by the way was very knowledgeable. Even though they don’t have a dedicated menu for soy allergies, they are able to look up any item in the computer and let you know if it has soy. In the end I decided to order a combination of sides. I had the caramelized sea scallops and the Maine lobster tail. Both were so tender and delicious! My mouth is watering now just thinking about them! They were grilled and seasoned with only butter, salt and pepper. I felt like I needed some veggies to really round out my meal so I also ordered a side of the roasted rainbow carrots. They were very flavorful and just what I needed to complete my main entrée.
For desserts they did have two options which were gluten-free and looked amazing! Since I can’t have refined sugar I asked for berries and was presented with a lovely little bowl of fresh fruit! I have to say, I truly enjoyed my dinning experience! I ate enough where I felt satisfied but not overly full. My meal was so delicious and the absolute best part was being able to have my mom all to myself for a few hours! If you have food allergies or sensitivities, or are just looking for a healthier restaurant option that’s still big on flavor, I would highly recommend giving Seasons 52 a visit. I’m looking forward to going back when they change their menu over for fall!
Go to Seasons 52 to find a location near you or to check out their menu! They’re open for lunch and dinner everyday of the week. On Sunday’s their brunch (the menu looks amazing!) starts at 10am.
